Preserving the Past

Located at 190 S. LaSalle, one of Chicago’s most recognizable office towers, this newly renovated tenant lounge was previously home to a 2-story law library. The law firm left all of their books (around 50,000 of them!), which we incorporated into our design to create a “modernized historical” feel.

While primarily used as a tenant lounge, The Library can also be rented out as an event space. Coordination and communication were key while completing this renovation, as events were taking place throughout construction. With a dramatic Palladian window framing Lake Michigan, this elegant lounge is the perfect space for weddings, corporate events, and day-to-day tenant use.
