The project allocated 10,000 square feet for specialized laboratory space, including a prep lab, instrument lab, hazardous waste and gas storage, and various work rooms designed for specific tasks like bio work, light-sensitive work, and balance operations. Key features also included fume hoods, a stability and sample storage room, a walk-in freezer, and shower rooms to ensure safety.
To manage costs effectively, existing office fronts were replaced with full glass, enhancing the open atmosphere while reusing much of the existing infrastructure. Additional conference rooms and collaboration spaces were added, while the original ceiling grid and tiles were preserved, with lighting upgraded to energy-efficient LEDs. The reception area was refreshed with new finishes, and a garden wall was introduced at the open staircase, adding a natural touch to the modern design.
