Continuing with the successful projects Whitney has completed for AXIS, the Chicago location is one of our favorites, being right in our ‘backyard’.
From the moment you walk in you feel the city come to life within the space. From the acoustical ceiling feature in reception, mimicking the grates in the bridges of Chicago, to the custom light fixtures spanning from Reception, through the Work Café and to the Boardroom, giving a nod to the L-tracks winding throughout the city.
The theme “Chicago After Dark” is evident in the finish palette as it brings a darkness to the space with various accents, while the layout maximizes the use of natural light to keep the space bright and open feeling.
The Work Café is conveniently located between Reception and the Board Room, providing an informal touchdown space for both team members and guests. A custom Chicago mural also brings a playful touch to the professional atmosphere.
Moving through the Open Office area, the workstations are broken up in neighborhoods, helping to create a comfortable work environment.
Private and semi-private single user rooms along with small huddle rooms give the user a variety of choice. With the concept of free address seating being new for this AXIS location, the local team has seamlessly transitioned to the new way of work in this thoughtfully designed space.
